Assigning users to a ShoreTel IP 480 Phone

Assign or Reassign ShoreTel IP 480 VOIP phones

Unassign a phone

  1. Make sure there are no active calls on the phone being unassigned
  2. Press the Unassign button home screen
  3. Press Unassign again on the confirmation window that pops up unassign confirmation
  4. The phone will start to unassign the current user unassing
  5. If the unassign process was successful, the phone will now show the user as Anonymous

Assign a phone

  1. Make sure there are no active calls on the phone being assigned
  2. Click Assign unassigned confirmation
  3. Enter the users extension and voicemail password into the box that appears. Once finished click Next Assign user dialog
  4. If the information entered is correct the phone will assign the user. You will see this screen for a few seconds before the phone is updated with the users information Assign a phone
